yes it does, you probably dont understand pidgin thats why you’re saying that. Burna boy is a prime example of afrobeats having a message

also have you seen dance-hall in its current form right now, shyt is just about fukkin up the pumpum and getting drunk

lol you must have stopped going out in the mid 90s

I love the music, but let's be funky, most of the music is about nothing.

only thing I’m curious about is how and what will be the response be over here in America. It gotta be uptempo soulful music not the wack EDM shyt we had early last decade

Would be nice if Soulful House aka New York Garage would make a strong comeback and a mainstream appeal to ADOS outside the Northeast/Chicago/Detroit. Maybe that could be the bedrock of something entirely new.

Would also be dope if ADOS can get back to live instrumentation and musicality in our music to make it organic again. GoGo, Zydeco, Jazz, the Blues, Funk, New Orleans Brass Band, etc. are very good examples of these.

So im discovering that Colombians on the Caribbean Coast been fukking with African Music since the late 70s. They created a Genre call Champeta which is them just doing African music in Spanish. Muffuccas been having festivals and random African Artists go over there for over 30 years now.:ohhh:

Yes, but i still prefer reggae

:wow:

medicine for the soul

I can't explain it but one of the reasons I was never able to fully get with reggae is that the base rhythms are really incongruent with the sounds I grew up on which would have all been influenced by the sounds coming out of the Mississippi Delta.

London baby.
People still sampling ragga beats from the 90s but dAnCeHaLl fell off :mjlol:

It has never and will never be for the masses hence why so many dancehall artistes turn down features and festivals for cacs and battyman events.

They couldn’t bite it so tried to repackage it as, “Tropical House.” :russ:
