Detroit House sounds pretty similar to Chicago House to me. Detroit Techno on the other hand is much more fast-paced, futuristic, and rough around the edges however. Here’s some of my fav Detroit Techno and House joints:

you know what the word "dominate" means right? Your implying that Afrobeats dominates the charts in most african countries over their own artist. That's not the case. I know that non Horner east African countries charts are mostly dominated by Taraabt, Bongo Flava and other swahili speaking music. South Africans have their house muscians and other artist they listen to over afrobeats, Angola has their Kizomba, Congo still have their soukous and their musicians lowkey dominate the french chart in France. Maybe in coastal west african countries from Liberia to Cameroon Afrobeats may be the most popular. But Malian, Guineans, Senegalese, Chadic etc also all have their own dominate artist.

I think outside of South Africa isn’t as popular but A lot of Afrobeats songs take South African house instrumentals without the general listening populace even realising, basically most House outside of S.Africa has been incorporated into a broader Afrobeats sound...

I had no idea it originated from Detroit, by Black folks no less I mostly prefer listening to the Black pioneers and their contemporaries in the Techno world.
