It legit makes learning fun and interactive.

I was on ChatGPT last night just going on and on and about pregnancy and childbirth.

I learn some new things and it put shyt into context for me.

Yes, people will mindlessly use it. Some ppl won't.

It's a great tool.

it's the more objective areas where its failings are clearer.

especially near-term testable science and tech like programming and math.

use it for objective stuff and you will see limitations which might not currently be apparent.

in a world based on science and math, calling it a "great tool" might be somewhat premature.

Most definitely when it comes to business.

Im not sure if its still the high interest rates or actually AI, But from a career standpoint this shyt has completely fuccked up the job market the past three years.

it teaches people not to trust opinions simply because they are voiced authoritatively. it makes you analyse what it says and sharpens your deductive skills.

this is good for the population at large.

and is an extension of the general lessons about veracity of information and quality of sources gained through mass use of the internet.

:hubie:

Thats the biggest point to be made concerning AI, despite the naysayers. Sometimes we as humans rely on the hearsay and not much on critical thinking. Also, questions that are often asked on the internet gets greeted with pushback because "human elite look it up" babble. Yet, the same mofos forget that they were in that same situation before.

As a writer, sometimes I need a little push in motivation to get my gear churning. So I may ask Deepseek or ChatGPT what should I writer about.

It asked what topics that interest me or yadda and I go with the flow.

It comes up with brainstorming templates that are useful to get the pen in motion.

Hell, don't get me started with the art side of town. I asked my son weeks ago to create a album cover for me since he's deep into art. Mans spent the entire time doodling and lollygagging, despite the fact that I gave him room to take his time, while at the same time..."breh initiative man". I said screw it, AI create the image, tweek it up, I ended up doing the heavy editing and etc...boom in and out.

He caught feelings but I told him that this is sadly where the world is going, because there's no time but today. We push so many things to the sideline and forget about the deadlines. While AI is being used for a destructive path, the other side of the coin is becoming more efficient workwise as AI is like the movie crew that does the behind the scenes shyt, and you are the director. Once people realize what AI can truly do, then we will all get past this doom and gloom.

Adapt or perish.

I look at it as how silent movie actors felt when audio came and crush the buildings. It sucks yes and businesses could be in ruins, but life is all about evolution. If anything we should be beyond AI in this timeframe, but society is so afraid of change especially in the states that we aren't going forward but trying to dig up the milk man.

The moment I found out that my hometown's bus transit finally got rid of tokens a few years back made me disgusted as a space traveling marsupial :why:

In some ways. I have it looking over minor coding related things (in the end) but I’m doing the bulk of the work myself for the things I do on the side

I’d reeeeeeeeeally want someone who is proficient at prompts to show me what legit use cases are

My actual work uses too many proprietary tools that haven’t — yet — been infiltrated with AI

there are a ton of legit uses cases, search reddit, tiktok, bluesky, forums to find out what people are using it for.
