Has any company rode a product to the death of themselves like Microsoft and The Kinect?

The Kinect can be useful in some cases. Like in dancing or exercise games. But it should be optional, not shoved down our throats.

I do think Microsoft is starting to do too much, just let us play our games and quit trying to control everything we do.

I don't know why Kinect sales are being brought up like that should matter to us gamers. They can sell all they want but the fact of the matter is, at this point, there still hasn't been a single good game made that was built around the Kinect. All mediocre.

It was a nice counter to the Wii but that fad has passed us for now. They should have just had voice controls over the headset. (Does it already?)
