Has any company rode a product to the death of themselves like Microsoft and The Kinect?

I just don't understand why in this day and age of technology...why the Kinect isn't utilized more in games in the sense of reliably putting a digital image of yourself into a game. Like being able to put yourself as a created character in NBA 2k14 with the Kinect camera would have been nice, it was a nice little feature in the Rainbow Six games with the Xbox camera.

But aside from that the Kinect really ain't shyt. It's still unreliable and just worthless. I unplugged that shyt when I got my Xbox One and don't miss it. They really need to let that shyt go, it's just not the right time for technology like that.

I mean the console division of Microsoft at least, we know PC wise they'll always make billions of profit a year.

But cot damn :wtf: I cant understand why they are so fukkin attached to the fukkin Kinect :wtf:

not only have I never met anyone who ever bought the kinect for the 360, but I never even heard anyone ever talk about it..ever :wtf:

I mean its pretty much the sole reason they rode out the $500 price tag, even offering inferior specs to the PS4 which was $100 less. Did some executive high up really sit in his chair spinning around on some :smugbiden: I aint worried bout the PS4 being less expensive and more powerful, we'll kill em with the kinect :smugbiden: these mafukkin families fiending for that kinect tennis :smugbiden:

:wtf: I just cant wrap my head around it :mindblown: Kinect wasnt even a huge hit for the 360, why'd they think people would spend $100 more on a xbox1 that came out almost same time as their rival console soley based on something that already proven to flop in the previous generation :mindblown:

they really riding this shyt to the death of em.. no one can possibly think another xbox will ever come out again, right? This is Dream Cast status.. If they would of made a kinect less version for $350 they'd be hand in hand with PS4 in sales.. $50 less money for a less quality product, makes sense.. right ? I mean makes sense to everyone not in the xbox executive offices :mindblown:
i will say one thing... kinect sales wise was not a flop on 360. so it's all about money...

games wise, you knew by 6 months after release, that it was just a controller-less wii.. the games were the same and mostly kiddy... either that or something you didn't want to stand and play for 30 mins straight, let alone a whole game

the only thing that made it great for most games, was the ability to speak out commands, plays, weapons, whatever

but the funny thing i always say about stupid ideas companies make up...... how many people had to ok that shyt???

someone pitched the idea... then that group debated the idea... then it's passed up... then higher ups debate it... then it's passed up.... then debate.... etc etc etc etc

and enough people heard the negatives and said "fukk that... we gonna do it anyway" and that's how you birth bad ideas... but damn... i know we can't be the only smart ones...

right now there's 15-100 people at microsoft saying "i told them motherfukkers this shyt was a bad idea"

cause companies don't want to invest time and money into that... where you HAD a game, then mearly had to port it to the other systems....

it's now, you have a game.. and only 1 system has a kinect like device.. well now you have to create new code for motion sensing for that game, new voice command code, and tie it into a game so that it doesn't take away from the game... or change it so much that you are putting out a completely different game on 1 system

all that shyt is work... and work equals workers.. and workers get paid

companies didn't appreciate this shyt being forced down their throats and the proof is in the games that companies are NOT making for it.. and the way they are actually using it is mostly voice commands... easy and cheap to program and can but used with a normal mic if needed
