I've been suffering with depression for years and never attempted it, do I think about doing it? All the time but never went though with it. I take meds, see a therapist regularly and all that stuff...

I told my therapist this and almost got thrown in the psych ward. I been in the psych ward before and the highlight of my time there was watching movies :snoop: I didn't "feel" better mentally. That and this girl that thought I liked her, it was nice that a woman thought I was interested in her and wasn't :scust: at the thought of it. I did find her attractive but I was too shy to say anything. I wasn't thirsting over her so IDK how she figured out I liked her.

Anyway, my solution to combat these thoughts is to just to enjoy life as much as possible. I remember Nas said life is a dream on "We will survive"

shyt is too expensive and there’s no therapist that will help solve my problem.
Im pretty sure this is what most ppl believe in these situations.

I obviously don't know your situation, but dont give up man. Theres always a better way to deal with things. There is help out there, even if whatever your problem is can never be perfect, you can learn how to not let it eat you and find ways to manage.

Dont give up

I’ve had suicidal thoughts before but I’ve never acted out on them. shyt has been pretty bad for me lately but the only thing keeping me going right now is my family. For those who attempted it what made you do it and what was your family and friends reaction to it?
Twice. Honestly getting that help really saved my life, therapy and the psych ward taught me how to value and listen to myself.

honestly I could give a fukk about how family felt because if I did I wouldn’t have done it from the getgo. I was feeling alone, sad , and it wasn’t until I realized I have a support system and to use it when I feel like I’m slipping.

it’s not worth it and if you need further talk just PM me. Also it’s not as expensive as you think. Maybe a three day stay in the ward will help you evaluate what’s going on in your life and start you getting the help you deserve.

don’t do it breh.

When I was a teen I made some botched attempt to hang myself...I've also done some p*ssy attempts to overdose but to no avail. I once got put in a psych ward as well...I'm on meds right now so like @Ciggavelli the thoughts aren't as frequent. My advice is not only seeking help but to be willing to make whatever changes are necessary to alleviate the despair. There's no easy remedy unfortunately.

Why do you want to help? I thought you didn’t like me cuz I am a conspiracy theorist.

We argued and disagreed about 9/11, but i would never think thats a reason to honestly suggest your life doesnt have meaning and value

Arguments like that mean nothing in the face of serious issues like this.

Just starting a thread like this in the 1st place takes balls man. Its not easy to open up like this publicly and i respect you off of that more than i care about a disagreement about 9/11

I once read that 1% of people who jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge in a suicide attempt lived. But out of that 1%, 100%, meaning ALL of them said they regretted their decision the moment after they jumped.

What's on your mind, breh?
