This dude professor black truth talks a good one and makes a lot of sense. I'm talking about implementation.
Nah man he's sucker. I talk a REAL agenda not some I'm ugly women won't date me nonsense.
for a real think tank which means you have permanent full time scholars, you would have to pay them a real salary around 100000, so if you have 5 scholars, thats 500,000 a year, plus support staff, office space, admininstration etc, that would be a million a year
but you can also have a think tank that just publishes a journal or magazine a few times a year and just break off the writers a few G's per article, then maybe you can get away with 50-100000
then of course there is also the fronting ass think tank where you buy a domain name, a wordpress template, register as a non profit, get some volunteers from prestigious places like thecoli.com or your boyz from college to write stuff and voila you can have a think tank for a couple of G's---> im talking smack but that is not actually a bad idea, there is nothing wrong with fronting when you begin

But also I think tank by definition just writes papers, they do it so politicians or other people read it and then hope that the politicians or other people implement it
If you are interested in implementation than form a non profit org that implements whatever ideas you have
What I'm talking about is American Enterprise Institute but on a micro scale. Start very small.
Yeah but they don't do any implementing, all they do is what I described in part A of my post describing different think tanks, all they do is collect donations and then pay a bunch of scholars to write papers, that is all, nothing more
What happens is that through their conferences, publications and donors they have a lot of politicians that listen to them
But their job is to be a catalyst for new ideas, the implementing is for other people
But I feel we need think tanks too
a good example is the story in This book , I'll remember later, that talked about an economist that happened to come across a black drug dealer kingpin who had some accounting knowledge fron college and kept meticulous accountingn of drug dealings, the econominist was able to examine drug dealing the same way you examine orange juice salesgirl example
Having scholars examine and disect issues in the black community outside of the left wing/right wing paradigm would be extremely useful and also having people that just sit around and try to brainstorm and think of new ideas is very useful
But anyways my point is I agree with the need for a think tank but a think tank does not implement ideas it just creates, distilled or gather ideas and the presents them to the public, that is what the AEI does
