Wise Intelligent

Just a few who I think are better, with the technique, than Em and Pun. Em and Pun are technical wizards but there are quite few EMCEES better in that department.

Music is programmed into the masses. If you hear something enough you'll learn how to tolerate it or it might even start to sound alright. When you do a side by side, thats when you can really tell the difference.

Virtually the same subject material from around the same time period and virtually the same chart ranks on Billboard:

(Billboard 6, 1, 60)

(Billboard 1,1 52)

If you put these Em tracks on in a club today, bytches would stop dancing..

Crack the Bottle was one song I actually liked from Em the past 12 or so years. He kills it over a solid but banging Dre beat. 50 did his thing too.

Crack a Bottle and Ass Like That are fukking terrible lol. Shake That is OK, but its got that cold Shady/Aftermath feel to it. Doesn't have the soul of true club classics. Hot in Herre still bumps, big tune.

How is 2Pac overrated when he was truly pro black, anti establishment and power to the people?

He was a true writer/ poet, you can tell by how his bars flow with the beat.

He also wasnt afraid to go against the trend and made songs empowering black women

So how is he overrated?

This, I agree with.

Pac isn't even one of my favorite rappers (that doesn't mean I don't objectively think he's one of the best ... just not in my personal top few) ... but his iconic status shouldn't even be in dispute.

The politics coupled with the gangster stuff; the empowering women coupled with the misogyny -- the juxtaposition of completely conflicting beliefs/lifestyles. That's what makes him a legend. It takes an amazing writer to be able to seamlessly tackle so many different points of view -- and convince people that you ACTUALLY MEAN everything you rap about.

Like so many brilliant writers, he may have also been somewhat unstable or conflicted. Almost a necessary evil in order to do what he did with words.

Cool song to me. Nothing I would bump in the ride though.

You got me confused with someone else. Didn't speak on the racisy youtube comments.

Straight out the fukkin' dungeons of rap
Em's in my personal Top 5, not gonna lie:yeshrug:I grew up on dude's music as well as the others in my Top 5(Jay, Nas, Talib, COmmon) his spot is lowering though

I can see the arguments for having him even lower than Top 20.

Anything below Top 30 is pure hate IMO
