When I was 9, I was at a funeral and it was open casket. Got seperated from my parents and went through the procession single file, where everyone sees the body. It was a family friend, when I saw him dead, I felt like my soul was being sucked out of my body.
Has anyone ever seen a dead body in person??

i saw one on mack where the homeless and the fiends sit around near that tree or w/e, it was night and he was the only one there just laid up
another was on harper outside a bar i was driving past, dude was slumped near the curb and police were taping up the scene

it's weird. it's like you somehow register that the body has no soul in it and it feels.... wrong.
Crazy I see this thread and my gmom died in her sleep yesterday unexpectedly. We all was there before you know the people come. Look like she was sleeping so peaceful. Seen her that night before she kept asking to see my son n nephew which are the youngones of the fam asking for hugs. Smh

Yeah, watched my grandad die at my grandma's house last year. He had brain and liver cancer.

I forgot, in middle school on the bus ride to school, this mental patient escaped a hospital and ran on the freeway during bumper to bumper traffic. He tried to get on our bus but the bus driver locked the door so he jumped across the median and laid in the middle of the road. We saw him get ran over by a semi truck who didn't see him laying on the ground

I feel you, when I did removals the only thing that would wierd me out a bit was when they were warm or when they'd still smell good from cologne/perfume. Dead folk are supposed to smell like dead folk

Outside of a funeral? Not really.
About 2 years ago, I saw some dude stretched out on the Mrytle Ave side of Fort Green Park in BK from a gun shot...plenty of ambulance and police around. Not sure if he was dead though...he might have been.

I'm a cop so I have seen alot.
Here are some of the more memorable ones though......
Two drug dealers got lit up with an AK in their suburban right in front of their apartment, the jeep was still on and in gear. Dude was slumped back in his chair, where they shot him at close range his jaw was twisted and deformed and his tongue was hanging out. The back of his head got blew off so brain matter and bone chunks were all over the back of the seat. His buddy crawled out the jeep and asked for one of the other officers to pray with him. He died at the hospital an hour later......about 40 or so shell casings were in the street and you could still smell gun powder in the air. Ironically like four or five of his boys were in the apt at the time and they just watch their boss get lit..(well they couldnt do much anyway)...
Had this call where a lady had just finish feeding her 15 month old baby some noodles. She put the baby to bed and the baby ended up throwing up and choking on her own vomit. It ripped my heart in two seeing the lady just holding the baby sobbing as it lay motionless......first and only time I ever went to a scene and had to hold back tears. The only thing I kept thinking was that something like that could happen to my son......
A cop had missed a few days of work without calling in. So naturally the top brass wanted to know what happened to him........ Turns out his first cousin and another dude kidnapped him. Dude was getting married and got a loan to cover the wedding, like 10 g's, so they took him to the atm to withdraw the money. But apparently the dumb asses did not know there are withdrawal limits so he ended up only getting a grand. They eventually took him to a remote area beat his ass then they threw him in a shallow ditch and rolled a boulder on his head.........we found out what had happened when the officers cell records were checked and his cousin was the last person to call him. He eventually confessed and took us to the body. We found him in that ditch hands and feet bound with this big ass rock on his head. Dude already started decomposing, skin was peeling off, he was swollen, the smell was unlike anything I could describe......
