Chappelle was drunk as hell on live instafeed with John Mayer and Daniel was in the background playing piano. Chappelle called him Gay on the live feed and when Daniel got mad Chappelle threatened to kick his ass and refused to apologize saying he was obviously joking.

Chappelle was wrong in the situation but Daniel backed down like a punk.

He's ugly with no aura of style or charisma. He's also merely a solid singer. Plenty of R&B crooners have repped ugly gang, but they had qualities about them that helped them resonate with an audience.
True, but:dead:

The answer is Bryson Tiller

DC always had a ceiling on his stardom due to the music he was making

Both of them had terrible 2 albums. It’s actually a trend with newer artist. They can’t follow up their success
Yeah I was listening to Trapsoul the other day and thought damn my dude fell off hard, still haven't listened to his 2nd album in full

@CrimsonTider so is Bryson Tiller's 2nd album THAT bad?

I might give it a spin. Dude's 1st album was dope, and I never heard a wack single or feature from him.

As much as a lot of us old heads criticize some of the music today, this might be one of the best times to be an artist. shyt, you could tour off singles and features, regardless of album sales.

There are so many platforms to get your music out here. I love seeing these young artists taking advantage.

I like the 2nd album but it doesn’t come close to trap soul. It’s too long and and it’s kind of dull

Bryson Tiller should be a star right now but he fumbled big time

When talkin about modern classics, I hear Trap Soul mentioned A LOT.

He definitely should be killin shyt now. I know for a fact he has a fanbase, but even his fans are frustrated. You cant afford to really go cold in this era. Too much music comes out daily and your fans might gravitate to someone else.

We are about to see the same thing with SZA. You can’t disappoint and you can’t wait too long between projects

Gotta satisfy your listeners. shyt, look at Drake. He's at the top and even he not above droppin' random tracks. He dont even have to, but he understands the climate of the music industry.

Honestly this is what happens when you alienate your fanbase, my daughter was a fan until he started :cape: for white women and honestly, he wasn't SO talented that he could recover from that.

On top of that in 2019-2020 you don't even really need to drop whole albums but you have to keep the people fed. Drop a 3-5 song EP, do a guest spot, pop-up shows. This isn't 20 years ago where you can disappear and still be relevant unless you are a top tier draw.

He was never on. He just had rap forum hype when rap forums mattered

:rudy: this dude was signed to interscope and you couldn't open a hip hop website or blog without seeing his face or name for a whole year

he got slapped by a chick on video and I haven't seen him since
