I was adopted by a gang, but never was
an actual member. My uncle was a OG
in that hood, tho.I was only 12 when we
first moved there.The baby gangstas
didn't know me initially, so they would
sweat me every day.Especially on the
school bus.To the point where my mom
had to get in contact with my uncle. He
was in prison at the time, but he called me
collect, and gave me a few names to
drop on the BG's who kept sweating me.
Once I dropped them names & told those
dudes who my uncle was, they dropped
all the way back.Did a complete 180.They
basically became my bodyguards after
that.I became an honorary member.
Whenever we got into brawls, they
wouldn't let me kick up no dust.I
remember when I got into it with this
one guy on the basketball court. It was
one of them lil hood tournaments at the
local rec.I got hot and started busting the
guys azz.He got frustrated and hit me
in the stomach while I was attempting
a 3.All his boys was on his squad talking
shyt. They thought I was there solo, but
they couldn't be more wrong.By the time
I clutched my stomach, the BG's came
from the stands, and rushed the court.
Dusted off his whole squad. One of them
niccaz picked him up & hit him with a
360 body slam like Zangief from Street
Fighter 2....Not gone front, having a squad
like that feels

..Powerful.We only
stayed in that hood for about 4 months.
I was actually sad as fukk when we
moved.Mom's was wise.Had we stuck
around longer, I would've became more
entrenched in that shyt.Moving with a
sense of power like that can be seductive.
