Has anyone here actually looked into opportunity zones?

Economic zones or whatever they're being called.

I mean I know they are used as vehicles for dodging taxes and/or accelerating gentrification. But has any AA entrepreneurs, here at least, actually looked through the plan and see if it's possible for them to take advantage of it?

Yes. It’s way harder than it looks and takes millions of dollars in capital to make any real money
No it doesnt. You can be a small fish with one or two homes in an opportunity zone and reap those benefits

Self owned or as an investment? Self owned yes, for 1 house.

Single family home developers 9.9/10 have to build a portfolio of houses.

So basically this isn't for small businesses but for regional or corporate businesses or businesses making over 10M a year.

You can still get a lot in tax benefits. I thinks it’s a per employeee tax credit of like 5-15k(dk for sure). The more employees u have the better
