Has anyone here ever had a house good for them from the ground up?

Then fill us in. What was the process like? How did you have the builder customize your home to your specifications?
A friend/co-worker of mine did this. He said the builders provided him with preset options but added some things here and there. I don't know if it is like that everywhere though. I think he made his place into a full-fledged smart home or something.

Yes had a floor plan I liked. Made some changes. Bigger bedrooms, huge walk in shower with rain shower heads, pillars walking into the dining room and other things.

Had to draw up the new plan n get it approve.

Inspections every step of the way.

It was a cool experience.

I have. Took about a year from signing contract, permits approves, working out colors, what floorplan, and other shyt to closing. Builder had floorplans already available but you can heavily customize what floorplan you want (add multiple rooms, garages, etc). I ended apending an extra 100k on shyt and still shouldve added more shyt smh. Problem is i wanted to change a lot of shyt after everything was approved but the builder was very understanding. Covid made shyt hard with shortages (:dame: ) and shyt but i would definitely do it again

Yes, it was a long process but worth it because we got 90% of what we wanted. The other 10% we simply couldn’t afford but we can always add on.

:pachaha: My husband told me in the car before we picked out the cabinets, tiles, carpet etc… to
 not go crazy with upgrades when we get in here and talk to these people

I was :gladbron: at everything lol

How much it cost you? Can it be cheaper than buying now? :jbhmm:

Was it your dream home? You still live there? If not why did you sell and for how much?
