i thought it was severely heartbreaking, almost unwatchably heartbreaking at points

That movie was real as fukk but it was just too disheartening and depressing for me.
I thought that Michelle Williams's character was a true, real scumbag bytch. She shytted on Ryan Gosling after he wifed her up even though she was having a baby by another man. Not to mention she never let the other homey know that it was his kid, and in the end I felt she really realized she would have rather ended up with a guy like him anyway.
Strictly from a film perspective though it was well written.
