I'm more than proficient in math (taken Chemistry I&II, Orgo Chem, Physics) but college isn't for nor necessary for everyone. That's a fact.
True to an extent. I really feel that unless you have a disability of sorts, you can become adept at mathematics. It was far from my favorite subject, and I actually failed the class or passed with D's in middle school, it was just a matter of me getting serious and motivated to actually take the time to learn it. True enough everyone won't have the aptitude to excel in Physics or BioChemistry, but college Algebra is doable as long as the individual doesn't suffer from a disability & is motivated or has a reason to learn it. Truth be told if it wasn't a requirement, I wouldn't have taken a math class past Stats.
I just hate how people just accept their weakness in a subject by saying something like "Math just isn't my thing" because.. its not that hard, just gotta focus and keep at it. It doesn't make me rage though or anything like that.
