Its simple momentum, if you get nailed in a slash, you won't able to flop by simply flipping upside down; instead you follow it by corkscrewing. Now if you get nailed parallel, it be easier to flip upside down.

I probably could, just need the right speed. It would hurt like a bytch, did Indoor Hockey at the Roller Rink when I was kid, got hip checked good and went thud on the wood floor.

Before I got into MMA and BJJ, back in college I was trying to get into Pro Wrestling and my trainers would teach us how to bump, I always felt taking your bumps spinning like that was MUCH EASIER to take than a regular back bump
