There is a war that has been waged against the black male and blk female psyche. It goes back waaaaaay farther than most think. But in recent decades black men have been fed a steady diet of lies about their own women.
From exaggerations of abortion rates while covering up white reported statistics, to overscreening black women for STDs and literally leading to health risks for white women due to their STDs being underreported.
From depicting nothing but Precious on tv as a representation of black femininity, to Martin dissing Pam for her kinky hair. From using exoticals as placeholders for blk female representation, to only giving a microphone to black male artists who are scathing in their disdain for black women. From lies about blk female obesity in our community to the extent that they now have whites and hispanics in need of targeted interventions b/c we've always been misrepresented as the fattest due to BMI reportings, to the lies about most blk females being single mothers even tho there are only 3 million blk single moms in the U.S. Of ANY age, but there are 23 million blk women overall.
From the elevation of white women with blk features, to the refusal to put positive representations of blk women in the media.
These lies and illusions have taken a toll on a lot of blk men whether they want to believe it or not. It's gotten so bad that confirmation bias causes them to only see what they been shown as false representations of their own women. So they've been taught to have NOTHING but negative associations with their own women. To associate them primarily with: poverty, the ghetto, hyper-fecundity, bad attitudes, obesity, and masculinity.
Meanwhile blk men have also been fed positive lies about non-blk women. That they are more traditional, submissive, prettier b/c anything further away from stereotypic sub-Saharan African features is more attractive, less materialistic.
To be honest, I believe white men created this system of lies to a.) divide the community, b.) drive blk men from the community c.) demoralize blk women to make them easy in order to d.) convince blk women to be more open to white male advances.
Because a similar war has been waged against the black female psyche too. That their men are deadbeat dads, abusers, who only respect and love non-blk women while abandoning blk families, criminals, drug dealers/users, lazy, ignorant, womanizers, bitter, poor, thugs.
Somehow some blk people have allowed whites to create a blk image of each other that makes some blks only wanna run from the opposite sex of their own skin tone. A lot of blk men and women don't KNOW their own men and women. And that's by design.
