This. PPL on this site routinely show how clueless they are. First if all, The term "Pro Bowl" means nothing. The whole idea of the Pro Bowl is a joke, and using that to rate a players ability is asinine. Put up all WRs and TEs for draft, and Jimmy Graham will be one of the first names off the board.
Second of all, in very many cases, QBs make WRs, not the other way around. Sure there's always exceptions (I'm looking at you Calvin Johnson), but there's a perfect case study for this year in Greg Jennings. PPL talk about him being a "weapon" for Rodgers, yet he goes to Minnesota, and has completely disappeared. Did he get worse? Was he THAT much better in Green Bay? No, the guy throwing him the ball got worse. See how that works? Same thing with a Fitz, and look at Andre Johnson this year. Both are always high on the "Best WR in the League" lists, and neither have played like it. Why do you think that is?
Off that same point, elite QBs get more out of guys than average QBs do. Rodgers/Brady/Manning/Brees all elevate WRs to higher levels. Look at all the guys Manning has made "viable" NFL WRs/TEs. Guys leave for greener pastures, and turn into shyt (Deion Branch, the aforementioned Jennings, Hell, former Saint Robert Meachem can fit in here).
So I cringe whenever I hear how a QB has all these "weapons". Like Manning. All them "weapons", and only one was remotely close to being a household name before he got his hands on 'em. Rodgers is always pointed at as being surrounded by weapons, yet he's got 2 practice squad players putting in legitimate time, and one of them is having the kind of year that, pretty soon, he will be one of ARods "many weapons". Same damn thing with Brees. That offense is basically a plug-n-play. Whether you put Dez Bryant or Joe Smith in New Orleans, you know what would happen? He'd be open just as much as Colston or Lance Moore is.
