I don't think they are generally in the same lane. I couldn't see Fetty being in the same company as Gucci and Cash Money.

Also, truthfully, I'm of the opinion that Young Thug is the best rapper alive outside of Vandross. Flows, hooks, songs - YT is coming the hardest.

As for popularity I'm sure Fetty has more fans. He has some massive hits. But Thug has maybe a small niche of fans, who BELIEVE in dudes musical ability. Like me, I see YT song or project I'm excited and Intrigued. What flows is Thugger going to drop, which new ones will he unlock. Thug is similar to Gucci in the sense experimentation with styles, raps, hooks etc. is a means to an end. The pay off is the new flow. He may never even use it again but it's there.

Nobody looks at Fetty's music like that.

Sums it up well....Fetty from a commercial point is obviously larger but Thug has all the talent, and a serious fan base.
