Has Future surpassed Wayne?

Lil wayne was the biggest rapper on the planet for 3 years (2006-2009). Future has barely been the biggest rapper out of Atlanta. Until last year, Gucci and Thugga were bigger ATL artists than Future.

How is this a comparison?

(For the record I think Wayne is overrated as fukk and I was the East Coast rap head who never really cared for him/....but i cant deny him as one of the GOAT candidates due to how massive his run was)

wayne legendary status has long been solidified. he's in strange position b/c i thnk he can still give a show stealing feature more impressive than the jay z one's people go crazy over. that said, its hard for me to call any of his projects after c2 good, well maybe c4. a good executive producer could have taken his legacy to another level. i give the nod to future--far better, more consistent catalog. an artist who's new releases i actually still check for.

Wayne hit a higher level than Future has and will probably ever be able to ( best rapper in the game ), but Future has been consistently top notch for about 11 years now. What makes it even more sensational is that the nikka has switched his style up multiple times since that point, and still hasn't fallen off.

He won't be known as the best active rapper in the game like Wayne was, but Wayne didn't have a Drake, Kendrick, or J. Cole that he was competing against.

Wayne sold 500K the first week with Carter 5 which is more than Future ever did.

Future got his auto tune style and dirty sprite swag and work ethic from Wayne lol

Future barely has major solo hits without features. Wayne has many more solo hits than Future.

Future last few solo hits were Drake features.

Don’t make me do this to Future. He’s my no 2 all time lol
