I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
HALLOWEEN HAVOC DAMMIT!

:patrice:That NWO Monday Night Nitro shirt that hogan is rockin'

Halloween Havoc 98 was one of the biggest PPV let downs in history. If you look at that card, it had Starrcade-esque matches on it (Scott Steiner vs. Rick Steiner, Nash vs. Hall, Bret Hart vs. Sting, Hogan vs. Warrior, and Goldberg vs. DDP). It should've been amazing but the only matches worth a damn on it were Jericho/Raven, Kidman/Disco, and Goldberg/DDP (and most people didn't get to see that because it got cut off). Everything else was a letdown. I'm still :wtf: at the fact that Sting and Bret didn't have a MOTY candidate. What the fukk happened?!?

:sadcam:

Who botched the match hogan? the whole plan was for him to fireball warrior in the face, Was Hall legit tanked during his match with nash or what I had high expectations for these matches but they just flat out sucked like most of the card for this years WM, I actually enjoyed Steiner vs. Steiner because Rick won and that top rope kick from The Giant had me marking out, yeah of all people to have a 5 star match whodve thought itd be goldberg, same thing happened again at one of the fall brawls when wcw was on its way out and it was goldberg vs. scott steiner, the big bald dummy actually sold moves :wtf:

I'm pretty sure it was due to having an over packed card and most of the matches running long. But yeah, Hogan was supposed to throw a fireball in Warrior's face, but he couldn't get the thing lit and spent a legit minute or two trying to light it. And then he when he finally did light it went off in his hand and Warrior who was hardly in range sold it like death. :pachaha:

And yeah, toward the end of WCW's run Scott put on a lot of underrated matches. It was like he was one of the few who still went out and gave a damn. Him and DDP brought the house down at Greed (WCW's last PPV). :whew:

I remember that story where they said DDP tried to stand up for his wife and confront Steiner backstage and they had to pull Steiner off of him and he was close to ripping his eye out of his socket:laugh:

The three big matches that made the Hell in a Cell the most feared type of match imo were

Undertaker vs. Mankind - KoTR 1998
Austin vs. the Rock vs. Rikishi vs. Triple H vs the Undertaker vs King Kurtis - Armageddon 2000
Cactus Jack vs Triple H - No Way Out 2000

all three of those matches involved someone getting thrown off (or through) the cell

since they stopped doing those spots... the match has been nothing short of "meh", plus the fact it's now a yearly event rather than "the match" to end a feud for good
add Taker vs. HBK and take out that 6 man HITC match it was ok but not great.

personally I didn't like it. it was too long just like the feud and we had to sit through all that just so the heel could win again in the end:beli:.

ehhh thats kind of a bytch move, like you cant fight your own battles, at least the first time is alright, you get your ass kicked but then resorting to ganging up on one dude makes you look even more like a puss
