Instagram is a fairly new invention in the course of human history

It is. But hey, I'm not against it nor am I really for it. IG can be a pretty cool thing... It's not as negative as people make it I suppose.

But much like pop culture,.. It's very revealing. In middle school and most of high school, I wasn't even imagining communicating with people out of my close vicinity. A lot of my homies in particular think they deserve a bad chick (myself included), nothing wrong with it. But I wonder if this was pre-social media if I'd be less superficial. Nowadays, I can love your personality and treat you less than when dating because somewhere deep down I know I can do better lookswise. And I can date a bad chick, and put up with an okay personality, but character flaws like really low self-esteem or fears of being alone/abandoned... wouldn't do the same for a average to above average chick.
