But if you're just being lazy, you might need that one verse or sometimes beef to spark the motivation again, bring you back to where you should be. I think if people were more critical of Hov, he'd step it up. But even his marginal shyt is celebrated, that's the issue. So it's kinda natural for the dude to phone in everything.

Jay, in the twilight of his career, has been prone to making one horrifying verse after the other. This has led some to question whether he's lost it completely. However, he has shown great flashes of brilliance in recent memory that proves he still got it when he tries.

Do you think Jay just bullshyts us with some of the verses he puts out, or he's truly lost it and that those verses are merely flittering uppercuts amidst a flurry of weak jabs?

How can you expect any thing of substance from somebody who says he frestyles everything...?

Either he is lying or he is doing about a thousand takes for each bar...

You CAN'T freestyle dope verses that follow one idea from start to finish, and are layered with intricate themes, subtle metaphors, and deeper philosophical perspectives...

It takes time to develop thoughts and ideas...

When a rapper says they freestyle all their verses, I already know I should just expect a hot a beat and a bunch of misused similes and basic forced punchlines...If they have the charisma, then it is not so bad...

He showed promise in Justin Timberlake's Murder but for the most part he's done. Nothing he says is remotely inspiring or intriguing these days. He literally has the platform to spearhead new innovative ideas like Gates and others but his public moves to attain more wealth is off-putting. With age comes wisdom though and he's still a relatively young man in the world of "high rollers"..The book is unwritten for him.

Too bad he's not really a trendsetter anymore and more like a leech like puff.

He shows flashes of skills but he is just inconsistent. I would rather Jay do another album with Kanye, since he is dropping one verse (two at max) per song he is more likely to spit a hot verse. I'm concern at his flow. He shoulda spazzed on tracks like Picasso Baby and FUTW.

Yeah, his flow has been fukked up since he started doing that one line at a time thing.
