They didn't have any main black characters because whites and blacks weren't out hanging like that in 90's NY and Jerry didn't live in a black neighborhood
In the TV show Martin there weren't many white people, because you know damn well white people weren't hanging out in Detroit like that.
The TV show Friends gets a bad rap, because there wasn't any black people in busy public areas. Central Park should definitely have black people walking around.
