Simple. Lebron has a worse team this year than last year. Durant had to play like that to win. Plus Durant was way more tuned in on defense then. This year Curry and Klay are scoring a lot easier so Durant being the very good jumpshooter he is can basically get his shots in with a lot less resistance.

The Warriors were better last year. Also, the league goes through evolution every year to catch up to Golden State, I think teams have stronger gameplans against them now. KD seems to be running a lot more iso in these playoffs than last, last year it was easy for him he was playing primarily in the flow of the offense.
