But I believe there must have been some agreement between the NBA and ESPN that Rachel would get all the interviews because now Malika has them.

It’s typically in their contracts based on seniority. That’s why I didn’t necessarily blame Rachel Nichols for being salty about Maria Taylor taking her spot as that’s money coming out of their pocket and future leverage.

Now Malika is in the same exact boat that Nichols was in previously getting all the good opportunities.
