Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Will Smith, Denzel...all of their hits and all of their critical acclaim aren't Robert De Niro level. Marlon Brando was the standard once but in the end, who can touch what De Niro brought to cinema? It's like putting someone over Ali, Jordan, or Babe Ruth.

it was actually you repeatedly calling the question ridiculous that made it look that way. but right on. i think that the question is valid even though most people will answer no. his work with scorcese alone says something about his level of talent. and leo's getting up there in age and has a decent amount of flicks under his belt, so i think it's fair to ask people's opinion, especially if a case wasn't made either way.

I wouldn't say he's surpassed him they both have a great body of work with maybe Bobby's work having the edge but we will really see when Leo reaches Deniro's age now and what he does because Bobby has been ass cheeks for a decade, maybe a little longer than that. Leo did good work in the 90s but IMO he's been on fire since 2002 and hasn't really looked back. We'll see where he is in another 10 years
