I'm not up on E Ness especially anything recent.

Lupe's writing style uses/used a lot of end rhymes and simplistic structure
which is probably based around leaving enough space to set up and deliver
punchlines/word play.
Which means once he started rapping faster than a mid-tempo his flow sounded
choppy and off point, Gemini however didn't have that issue.
His flow is/was considerably more complex and the rhythms employed were more interesting.
It was similar to the way Eminem came out on top versus Jay on Renegade.
