Its weird because there’ll always be people who want to be in on a secret and kayfabe existing is what made this guy big to begin with.
Wrestling is weird though, because as much as the business reveals itself they’ll always be a level of secrecy, how do you get rid of him?

The creation of AEW was the final nail. I hate him. Whatever ounce of credibility he had left immediately reduced to zero once they debuted. His total bias towards AEW and everything New Japan is insufferable, and I hate WWE, but a spade is a spade. Him and Bryan have influenced a whole mark generation on what’s good and what’s not. fukk them and their shytty opinions.

Meltzer, in a weird way, is the booker of wrestling for smarks. He tells them who to like and dislike, and often frames stories or reports stories that probably didn't happen in a way to rile up smarks and get them excited.

If Meltzer survived through the Peyton Royce comments where the whole roster trashed him and came out unscathed, then this won't do anything.
If there were more proper journalists in the industry he might get kicked out but as of right now, there's no one to take the spot. Plus all the little wrestling sites rely on his newsletter to make stories themselves every week.
