But seriously, I've always seen Phil as a guy who can get your team over the hump when the potential is there. I think Pop does a better job of turning shyt into sugar compared to Phil, but Phil is the best at what he does.

I think OP's question is legit and the answer is no, this is coming from a Bulls fan. Reinsdorf build the 90s Bulls, Mitch built the '00s and '10s Lakers, Phil Jackson is the coaching "Messi" of basketball in the sense that yes he is a great coach, but it's hard to confirm because he's had so much to work with, as opposed to a Popovich or Larry Allen or even a Rick Adelman. Let's see how he does with the Knicks if Melo leaves
