Has Scottie Barnes made Pascal Siakam expendable for the Raptors?

Do the Raptors have the freedom to trade Siakam?

Warriors will gladly take him off y'all hands. One team's trash is another team's treasure. He gonna get a glow up in GS; he gonna go from a 5 to a 9.

:ohlawd:

I have been one of his biggest critics but even other fans takes on him is so exaggerated....its like these dudes dont understand youre being sarcastic.

Im sure Nick Nurse is gonna love Wiggins not getting back on defense ,jogging up court on fastbreaks and standing in the corner with his hands on hips.....It wouldnt take Nurse long to bench him which is something Kerr it seems doesnt have the nuts for.....Nurse aint going for that half assing BS Wiggins first time jogging back on D would be stapled to the bench...
Warriors have no choice but to play Wiggins. They're already missing a significant part of their cap with Klay out, and their #2 pick from last season is missing. Poole's out here jacking up bullshyt too.

Outside of Steph, they really have no consistent offensive player. Wiggins is out there cause there's no other option.

Remember how there was that period where Raptors fans and this board were hyping up Siakam as the league's next superstar?

Well, I was on the opposite end, leading the charge and saying he isn't for real. I could see it before it all unfolded he wasn't a legit #1. But here's the thing, he's not going to be that for the Warriors. He's going to be a #2/#3 option, and he isn't going to be tasked with weakside ISOs on the regular, trying to create for himself. He's going to be in a motion offense where he's sharing ball-handling duties with Steph and Draymond, and he's gonna eat off all the spacing there is. He's gonna have it easier than he's ever had it before.

The Warriors have the perfect environment for him to play his actual game, and that's being a sidekick, being a secondary playmaker and showcasing his defensive versatility. This is what GS is missing. It's really the only thing they're missing.

I cpmpetely agree with you Warriors would be the perfect set up for him,he'd put up monster numbers and wouldnt be the focal point of the D and he would get to operate in a wide open high post against mismatches......I would be interested in seeing what it looked like and i agree it would make the Warriors the favorites....With Thompson/Curry on the perimeter he would easily put up 24/25 a game easily.....unfortunately were not gonna see it happen...

I would say Warriors have to play him cuz hes there 2nd scorer right now and you cant afford to lose him mentally when ur playing for something....Raptors are not playing for the same thing right now so Nurse wouldnt care about his feelings and the dynamic of how it affects the team goals...

This is not true Masai loves Siakam he was not drafted to replace him,he was drafted because masai wants a team of 6-8 guys with wingspans who can all shoot, dribble and guard...

The thing he was never a play-maker, a secondary side kick or had any defensive versatility. He's not a good passer, lack great court vision, inconsistent with shooting and ok on defence.

His bread and butter is running in transition. Toronto is excellent at pushing the ball or creating turnover and he would just eat of the that. If you want Siakam, you better pray all cylinders are firing.

Imagine this next to Steph and Klay. He and Draymond working together on the defensive end.

:wow:

:mjlol: That's a career game, not the average.

Expect more of this.

Haha man it’s clear a lot of nikkas don’t watch Raptors basketball.

There is zero reason for the Raptors to trade Siakam. Finding a player better than Siakam is what the team needed to push him into the number two spot which is exactly what’s happening. What’s occurring is the best possible outcome for the team. Trading Siakam at this point would be a huge mistake because he’s not going to net you enough return to make it worth it. Plus Barnes being the passer that he is will just help Siakam score easier—just like Kawhi did. Siakam vs single coverage is a problem for most matchups against him.

There’s literally zero reason to trade him.

You're underselling Siakam and you know it, especially in the context of how he'd look in the Warriors system. A lot of the actions y'all run ever since he became the default #1 option, is him at the high post, where you have splits, with another big at the dunker spot. He's not that talented to where he can create in those situations on the regular. Jokic and Bron are the only ones who're good enough to do that. He's a downhill runner, who thrives against mismatches.

The amount of space he'd have to work with, while the defense is worried about what Steph and Klay, is infinite. The option under Steph/Klay is the forgotten man, and is typically either always open or up against the worst defender. He'll be playing on easy mode.

That's 10x better than what Wiggins gives the Warriors at his best.

Till this day I say pascal cost us from beating Boston

if he just had one decent quarter we would have prob been in the finals again
Honestly this is the biggest heartbreak because they could have easily went to the finals if this dude shot 45 percent and they probably win the finals if he played the way he was playing before the bubble

never been the same since that injury whatever’s going on in his head that’s made him so bad offensively seems permanent now…. I mean the guy tried to blame nick nurse the nicest players coach in the NBA who literally gives every player whatever they want and however many minutes they need to develop. He even played Flynn tonight despite being in the dog house yet he blows up on the best coach in the NBA by far like he’s Dwayne Casey.

If you guys had anything of value ready to trade, no raptor fan would be against it.

You can't point to anything tangible like shooting post-play or passing. Siakam is no longer under the radar and teams know how to play him now.

What happens when he starts bricking open 3s? Can't finish on the mismatch? Not passing out the double team? Not setting others up for baskets?

You want another $35million glorified cutter? Go ahead, he's 27 and already looking like he's in a decline. :pachaha:

Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody, 2 first round picks. Do it then.:hubie:
