In your lifetime, experience and observation would you agree or disagree with the statement that society has been corrupted?

If yay or nay please say why you think this as well as examples of what has been hit, shifted or uplifted on a personal and collective level.

The implications of this exchange could be quite interesting once it all comes into focus so please be real.

Always been this way but its YOU that's changing......for the better to now recognize how demonic this world is.

When I was a worldly man I saw nothing wrong with the world... because I was of it. For example, I used to listen to music about shooting, robbing and killing and felt nothing was wrong with it.

Now that I've mentally and spiritually ascended beyond this world, it looks like pure filth to me. I can't listen to certain music anymore, I can't stand these demonic celebrity puppets no longer, the oversexualization of everything, the glorification of drugs & alcohol and unhealthy fast food restaurants on every corner bothers me now.

I see the agendas now. Everything we're taught in school is a lie. The mainstream media are full of lies and propaganda.

The veil has been lifted from my eyes so I now see the corruption that has always been here.

You can blame capitalism for society’s ills :yeshrug:
America always used capitalism on the backs of labor to capitalize their profits

To play devils advocate one of the benefits of capitalism is the ability to generate income of your marketing. Supply and demand never runs out of style.
In the modern digital era, we have the ability to maximize dollars of any particular niche with the internet (Tik Tok, IG, Youtube).

Pre-internet was harder you had to go by word-of-mouth for notoriety.

- Capitalism fosters competition. This allows a wide range of selection of goods and services for consumers.
- It increases economic growth. Think of any industry that dominates -- cosmetics, clothing, food, electronics, etc.

Alas, to come back to the question, OP is talking about character and morals of society. Society has become far more soft, politically correct, and gatekeeping nowadays. I'd argue that America always been toxic highkey. Just look at our past key events.

Society was way more cut-throat pre-civil rights era racism was at its peak. The violence and pandemonium faced by blacks (Emmett Till case, Alligator Babies case, KKK attacks, Black Tulsa burnout) is enough to prove America encourages degeneracy behaviors'. This country was found by violence case in point -- just look how Native Americans were exterminated.

Nowadays, social media is dictating society. Negativity and hatred assisted by algorithms. Mental illness being normalized more than ever -- public shootings causing mass hysteria, stabbings because of the lack of emotional control and outbreaks because of lack of self actualization. America is a mental asylum, this country promotes reactive behavior not critical thinking skills. It's a reason why Jay Z "dumb yourself down to make dollars" because that sentiment is exact!

Counterpoint, slavery, and a poverty are important for capitalism to work and thus negates your other points

its always been corrupt.

The only difference is its almost a level playing field for minorities and whites. So now everything is "exposed" and corrupt to further move the goal post and distract for real issues. Get out the "corrupt" politicians who created fair and just laws so we can vote in a white power crony. If you still think America is not moving towards a more fair and just union I almost suspect you part of the white power movement.

Nothing has really changed, politics is still the same, inflation is high but really in the last 20 years you still have the same buying power. Their was always a underclass of minorities under whites to make them feel superior. Not so much the case anymore the internet exposed most of the ignorant notions whites had against minorities. It exposed that minorities live just the same if not better then their white counter parts.

Capitalism isnt all bad, its basically a system where the people who want to work harder and produce for society get more of society benefits. But racist whites want to be lazy and have a benifts of the backs of others (minorities).

Yes from where minorities where 100 years ago, absolutely. Its ignorant to think over night things will change. If a black man wants to become a doctor and practice medicine, chances are fair he will. Will their be obstacles absolutely.

This is what whites hate, little Timmy who dosent want to go to college and only inspires to be a warehouse worker should still be move valuable to society because hes whites. This notion is not the case anymore and it might have worked in 1960 but in the vast majority of America and even the world in 2020 its laughable.

Are things an even playing field, no but they are a vast change since even 50 years ago and are moving closer and closer each election year. So now everything in recent history is corrupt all of a sudden, like its never been far worse.
