When the coach your coaching against takes out his second best player and only player actively creating his own shot and scoring late in a close game when your best player is on the bench with foul trouble, as long as you don't invite Delonte West to join your huddle, your bound to look good.

I know he's typically bashed for his lack of coaching , but what are you thoughts this series?

If "coaching" is telling his players to charge into the pain and get layups for an entire half, then I guess so.

Good coaches are automatic in getting points out of a time out. Good coaches should also be able to prevent their teams from going into a lull. He is not the type of coach that can keep players motivated, so the latter complaint won't be remedied. But the first one? As people have mentioned, he needs to learn to draw up plays.

More importantly, his decisions at the end of games are just bizarre. Especially when he can't even get his team to get the ball inbounds properly.

all the motherfukkers says is the same old redundant shyt "stay the course and know your identity" to his team lol i mean he has done ok, he finally started playing JAmes Jones more minutes. I don't get why he didn't get much minutes in the Celtic's series, even though they won, I'm like if you need someone to make a wide open 3, even though Battier has been doing it, why not get a 3 point specialist? but, I don't think he is really that good of a coach, but his team is up 2-1 so :yeshrug:

yes, Spo's deficiencies in terms of X's and O's have been prevalent this postseason, but it's more than that... dude is just not a good leader of men, you never get the sense that the players actually wholeheartedly believe the cliche bullshyt he is always spewing

winning cures all

Doc Rivers is now viewed as an elite coach but was about to get fired again before the big 3 went to Boston

He's one of the best at ego management I've seen. If anybody thinks that Thibodeau or SVG shyt would work with the Heat dude would have been sent packing.

And I've seen x's and o's, that Wade/Bron P&R to Bosh down the stretch for example. He's just dealing with talent that believe they can take a short cut on some plays because they're that good. The man isn't saying Wade/Lebron dribble for 10 seconds and launch a 20 footer. They think they see a mismatch and eyes light up.

He's got faults, but even if I'm frustrated sometimes, we could be much much worse off.

What the hell goes on during Heat time outs anyways? I want y'all to take notice at what the offense looks like in the first play after a Heat time out. So far in the series it looks like mass confusion ending with a desperation jumper.

Anyways, nothing can be blamed on a single coach can it? There's a whole staff of coaches working on things during a game and that Heat coaching staff has some solid asst. coaches on it.

As far as x's and o's, that Chalmers layup near the end was a beautiful play and the sort of stuff that goes unnoticed.

Thunder were starting to overplay that Bosh/ Wade P&R since BOsh was getting deep paint catches about 3 times in a row...so instead of BOsh rolling, they send CHalmers coming around on the cut and he's already at the rim by time Ibaka recovers
