When a dude is extra chivalrous, he's seen as weak or soft. He's the simp gettin left for Ski, up the street. He's callin her over for a quickie up the block, and doggin the cheeks out, and sendin her back on her way....:yeshrug:

Has the "age of the gentleman" ever truly been, or was it just posturing for effect?

A Gentleman always wins! A Gentleman will get the most play and p*ssy out of women, you can’t beat someone who is well mannered self aware and confident within himself.

A gentleman doesn’t mean soft, in fact many of the times it’s the opposite, I mean James Bond was a Gentleman’ and was dropping bodies left right and centre, the mafia was full of gentlemen, British nobility and any organised gang revolves around a leader with the upmost manners who will buss a cap at you when needs be etc

In essence what women love is a gentleman with rough edges if needs be.

The term "gentleman" has been muddied by the internet, specically by being conflated with the term "good guy." A gentleman holds to a certain code of conduct because it's the right thing to do. A "good guy" does things he perceives to be "nice" in order to extract something in return from women. They aren't the same. Good guys are losers and creepy to most women. Nobody has a problem with gentlemen, outside of some fringe extremist chicks that only exist on the internet.

I feel like these kids don't know what chivalry is tbh, but no, it isn't dead.
It's not only kids that don't know what it is but adults too. Most don't know what a gentleman is, how he conducts himself, etc. I guess that is what led me to create this thread.

I feel like my parents generation (I'm 28) were the last to act like gentlemen and lady like as a whole.

Many women aren’t mature enough to handle a gentlemen until later in life. Some women will see it as a weakness because that’s all they know.

This brotha said it all. Women in their prime want a badboy type, they only appreciate a gentleman when they older & have a whole lot of baggage
