The south did not pioneer that sound they put their spin on it and popularized it through Three 6 Mafia and DMX. I'll give you that.

They are really just making modernized C-Bo, Brother Lynch, Spice 1, etc. music from the 90's, dark horror influenced beats rapping about hood sh-t. Same sh-t just a different toilet.
