Picking on a non-responsive girl who obviously has some mental health issues and low self esteem, long after the moment has passed - not so funny. Just kinda pathetic. I think sohh up until 2006ish was the right kind of funny for the most part.

Liggins, is no way this discussion or state of forums being blamed on the mods. You pointed out that other hip hop forums have similar excessive trolling/woman hate anyway, and I agree for the most part, especially in the latter years. I have a lot of respect for the work mods have to put up with. But some of your posts make me think you feel personally defensive about this but you really shouldn't be since you aren't responsible.

I'm not cherry picking, I'm posting what my memory held on to. I wasn't a consistent poster back then, and had years of hiatuses. This is just what I remember.

The INTERNET itself peaked in the years between 03 and 07 when it became accessible to pretty much every demographic you can think of. It's old hat now. The freshness and naivety that accompanied it will never return. Plus, if you've been on forums since 2001 and were already in your 20s at that point, you're right now. You got 35 year olds complaining about what 19 and 20 year olds do. Aren't Char and Broke (some of the supposed trolls) like no older than 20 or 21? I know for a fact that many of the people that bytch about exposals and trolling today were in the thick of it just a few years ago. How are you going to reminisce about the "good 'ol days" and bytch about trolling and running folks off when that whole era was built upon that? The whole era was built on making a name for yourself. You can't compare the internet of 2013 to the internet of 2003. It's gone. OVER. Move on. You 'ol back in my day ass nikka.

I really did miss a lot of those links posted on the first page. I only recognize one of them but I think dating exposals or watching people who hooked up go at it on the boards is different than picking on an easy target who doesn't really pick back. Not saying she is a victim or anything, just didn't think it was funny.

I understand your point nd I don't blame myself at all. I just do the best I can without stepping on anyone's toes if at all possible. My point is that, much like Binary "didn't do anything," many of the targets of "The Golden Era of SOHH" were victims simply by circumstance or literally fukking with the wrong person. And even some of the people you think were tough as nails and could brush all that bullshyt off were on Binary levels behind the scenes.

Nah, this forum will only get better. Its alot of trolls and aliases that seem to be a lil much at times. Only issue I have is the weirdos who scare all the chicks away. I'm not trying to get at them, but I think the females add alot and being able to get their input on stuff adds something that alot hip hop forums don't have much of. Also the Black Women hate threads is a little much. But I think this place will find its niche and prosper

c/s...a random thread in the seum, booth & arcadium have more comedy than you'll find in tlr all day. some of you that sit in tlr 24/7 waiting for "fukkery" should try exploring the other forums a little.


if anyone has ideas for how to improve this forum let us know...everyone wants fukkery one minute, next minute everyone says theres too much trolling. everyone loved the freedom of relaxed moderating but now its we dont mod enough
