macklemore is a pop artist with rapping for flavor, he has smash singles and a wide audience. Outlier

G eazy has a loyal fanbase of basic hoes and dudebros

Slim Jesus is an internet sensation, no one's buying his shyt

Same with Stitches

By and large, blacks still run the game.

We has Marky Mark, Beastie Boys and Vanilla Ice in the early 90s.

Now it's Macklemore, Mac, Action and G-Eazy. Two more than we had 25 years ago.

Imo compared to the amount of white fans, the limits have been firm. Compare that to other black genres like Rock, RnB, Jazz and House music.

Rap fans should be the last people to complain really.

Nah it was worst back in the day, when they found out they can put any white boy out rapping and he will sell. During the Vanilla Ice era you had Snow with that fake Jamaican track being the one hit for that year and than next year it was Marky Mark. It was what influence that boy band era.

as a white guy myself who's never been fond of cac rappers, if i had to pick one thats out now, i'd honestly rather G-Eazy be bigger than the rest of the white guys out there like pandering fakkits like Macklemore.

his music isn't that white guy-ish, he doesn't pander, makes sure he works with legends from the bay, best dressed cac rapper, he has a relatively normal fanbase mostly of woman, the idea of taking a barber chair with him to shows so if the guys that are fans of his want their hair like his was quite a smart little way of making extra money.

i wouldn't listen to him regularly, and i couldn't listen to him for a full album but eh, guy seems alright...i don't mind him.
someone summed up the best when they said he's a white Big Sean.

Slim Jesus is barely still relevant and G-Eazy ain't as big as people on here make him out to be.
