At least for in-person fan experiences, to me it's:

NHL
MLB
NBA
NFL

For TV viewing it's:

NFL
NBA
NHL
MLB

The 162-game season really helps baseball attendance. I can get really good azz seats on the first base line for cheap. Maybe $150 to $250 TOTAL for a couple of tickets to a Rangers game. If I wanted comparable seats at a Cowboys game, it's probably $700/ticket. You can get nosebleeds for relatively cheap but the experience simply isn't as good.

It’s also because of the culture. Baseball players don’t lend themselves as well to the soap operas and the conflicts. For the most part they are all friends.

this is a matter of marketing not culture . Selling a white (aesthetic wise) league to a white consumer/political base won't be done through sensationalism and dehumanization

that is an option of how you sell a black (aesthetic wise) league to a white consumer/political base...and this obviously extends well beyond sports

doping gambling sexual impropiety drug abuse excessive consumption etc could very well be the framing used to present the Mlb. the media casually choses not to

Every year they drop these numbers right before the playoffs start when they know games are going to be sold out and people fall for it every year :mjlol:

That's like the nba waiting until the playoffs start to be like "look at how much viewership is up"

What was that viewership looking like on April 17th:mjlol:

I agree completely. It’s a shame that black newscasters and athletes so happily go along with selling the NBA as a soap opera minstrel show
