With respect to bringing in stars that have a priority and commitment to winning?

After this recent failed Melo Experiment capped off with Melo on the bench looking frustrated because of lack of help + the fact that he gets beat up in the media, other than for the mone, why would he stay?

Plus the new article about Celebrities being the priority in the Garden. 'Dsgust.

But us Knicks fans know that. I want mainly opinions of fans of other teams. What is yall opinion on the Knicks organization and free agency?

Yall always sitting on us too. How would yall fix this team?

As far as Melo getting criticized, that's what he signed up for. That's what LeBron woulda signed up for. When you win in NY, you get sucked off for life. Eli Manning won 2 Superbowls, and you got fans pretending he didn't just throw 30 picks this year. You're damn near teflon when you win. When you lose, you can't wait to leave (see Fez).

Given what the Knicks continue to do in regards to the draft it's gonna be hard to infuse fresh talent.

My suggestion. Stop star searching. As much as NY loves shiny toys, we want our franchise players to be home grown.

Jeter- homegrown
Wright- homegrown
Lundqvist- homegrown
Wilkerson- homegrown
Tavares- homegrown
Brodeur- homegrown
Eli- homegrown
even Lopez- homegrown

Melo- Mercenary

The Knicks have to go back to that. The guys that get the most love are the guys we either draft or pick up out of the dumpster. The Merc that gets the most love in NY is probably Reggie Jackson, and even Yankee fans rode with Munson over him. Drafting that guy will buy the Knicks a lot of time and patience.

Recommendation: hire someone from the Bucks. Why? As mediocre as they are, they're mediocre due in part to their ability to find good talent in the teens (if they couldn't do this they'd lose 65 games annually). Those picks are always up for grabs. While the Knicks rebuild and try to find their star at the top of the draft, they can surround him with appropriate talent (homegrown at that). saves you time and money. Knicks fans (now) understand that you wanna keep successful homegrown players around now and for the future.

Also, NY fans HATE rebuilding, BUT, once you're in rebuilding mode, they roll with it. Mets fans hate rebuilding, but now all they do is talk about how ill their farm system is. Jets fans hate starting over, but the focus shifted to the youngins (Milliner, Richardson, Wilkerson, Snacks, Coples, Geno). The Yankees ate for 2 decades almost off the fruits of a rebuilding era (Core Four). Once management dives in, fans will rally as long as that player shows tangible results.

Nothing is saving them this is how they always will be

once every 5 years so they might win 50 games again and lose after over paying for a mid level free agent or trading there future for a mid level star again

but that's all they have to look forward too
