Why you one star the thread dumb hoeheaven forbid candidates want to reign in capitalism that has accelerated the wealth gap, eliminated whole classes of jobs, exploits workers and doesn't provide them the same security they once had before raegan unleashed the flutes in the 80's, it's a shame they want to properly tax the excesses, implement stricter environmental protections, curb student debt, and make sure people have access to health care....yea, all of this sounds like socialism

Trump will bring up socialism against Biden, Harris, Buttigieg, Warren and even Delaney if he was the nominee. The difference is all these candidates will spend time apologizing and begging for everyone to believe they believe in markets. Bernie will go on offense instead.

Bernie is the only candidate anywhere near socialism and he's not a socialist, he's a social democrat. But he calls himself a democratic socialist, which is a little confusing since I'm sure he knows the difference between the two.

I look at anyone strange when they act like socialism is some new concept for the West. We have been under socialism for ages. What do you think a bailout is? Under capitalism those businesses would have simply been allowed to fall. Instead money is pulled in to keep them afloat. Is that capitalism or socialism?
