Has there ever been a white athlete that got the Greg Hardy treatment?

Normally I'm on the side that says "the media is just headline grabbing, it has nothing to do with race".

But Greg Hardy can't wipe his ass without there being a 30 minute segment about him being a woman beating piece of shyt (Mayweather got treated the same way, yet Rousey's boy toy beats a woman and everyone loves him because he's Rousey's dude).. Dude made a joke about Brady's wife being hot and they just about did a 30 for 30 about how wrong it was. If any white athlete, Patrick Kane and Ben Roethlisberger included, said "I love playing the Pats, Giselle is so hot, I hope she brings her friends".. the media would giggle like school girls.

I've been trying to think back through history if there has ever been a white athlete given the Greg Hardy treatment. Maybe Manziel? But not really.. he'll miss practice and they'll say something like "bet he was out partying last night, hue hue hue" and then suck him off the following week.

You have a point. I doubt anything would be made about Big Ben if he commented on Brady's wife like Hardy did. I also can't think of any white athlete that has ever been treated like Hardy by the media, regardless of what they've allegedly did.

Plus dude has been on numerous reality shows and has a local radio show currently. When Hardy is out of the league he will never get a another platform again in life

I agree...cacs want his head on a stick. Remember, folks still hate Vick on that dog nonsense but don't bat an eye to that fat fvck Rothlesburger anymore (who I've heard is generally a pos if not an outright rapist).

But I wouldn't say Hardy is a saint either. I support the Killa Cam philosophy of "make 'em mad"...not the Hardy version...dude seems to not have his hand on the pulse of consciousness or tact.

In short, Cacs want to hate, and I love brehs (pause) who are challenging to that...but I can't be down with Hardy, dude just don't care how he's perceived, even in the face of potentially very unfortunate behaviors (and I'm referring to his off the field stuff...not his sideline antics).

Neil lennon. The guy was brutally beaten in the street, attacked during a game by a fan, had bullets and bombs sent to him in the post and yet the media could only talk about how "he's no angel" and "he brings it on himself"

Not only that but he was only sent off 1 or 2 times in his whole career yet has this label that he was some kind of thug on the pitch.

There are no american examples I can think of though.

I been following sports since the early 2000's, I can't think of 1 White athlete who the media, feminists, & cacs-in-general went after like they did with Greg Hardy, Floyd Mayweather, Ray Rice, & Jameis Winston.

I want to throw Mike Vick, T.O., & maybe Pacman Jones in that conversation, but social media wasn't as big back in the late 2000's as it is now. So I didn't have constantly see it my social media timelines.

EDIT:
I think it's fair to throw Lebron James/The Decision + the following NBA season or 2 in this conversation.

EDIT 2:
:ohhh:Real talk, I don't remember Kobe EVER getting anywhere close to as much hate for the Colorado incident as any of these I guys I mentioned before. It feels the media & sports fans-in-general gave him a white privilege pass. The whole thing came & went in less than a year.
