Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose was exciting as hell too. But his game wasn't nearly as developed as Donovan's is right now. Rose relied on his speed and explosiveness to flourish, thus why his game has evaporated as injuries has taken those abilities away from him. Donovan's skill set is what sets him apart. Rose averaged 16pts/3rebs/6assists his rookie year while Donovan is averaging 20/4/3 currently (you can point out the assist difference if ya want, but it would be expected considering Rose played point while Donovan is a 2-Guard).

Donovan is the leading scorer, number one option and offensive focal point for his for Utah. Rose was the third leading scorer behind Ben Gordon and John Salmons. The Bulls made the playoffs that year as a 7 seed with a 41-41 record, and took a Celtics team missing KG to 7 games. Utah's got a better record than that currently (29-28) and has gotten it while fighting through injuries the entire season.

And he’s in a much tougher Western conference.

And he doesn’t have a superstar level talent to play alongside with like Simmons has Embiid.

Easy rookie of the year choice.

Nah a true star in Utah is GOD status because they can't take it for granted there since they don't get many stars when come play their.

They already given Mitchel the key to the city

smh@ the disrespect for Utah...they have a great fan base, managed well and a legit rep for developing talent...he's in one of the best place to sprout as a player...
