nah. Standards go up and down.

It's possible for what was considering 'trash' in the past to be better now because standards are lower.

True. Kind of like in the NBA Dwight was "the best" center at some point :mjlol:Even when it's a mount of trash, somebody is at the top. But it's still only the top of the trash.

c'mon ja had some skill compared to the ''mumble rap'' era, got on tracks with x hov nas meth

the hate is warranted to a certain extent cause he went overboard with the balladrap but lil dude had a lil somthin' before fif came and crushed the buildings

Nah man, Ja had no actual real skill...like dude didn't even rhyme sometimes in the verse. he def wasn't saying anything nice lyrically, which I get, that wasn't his lane. He was pretty basic in terms of rapping ability though, he had nice beats but that's where it stops.

He never outshined anyone IMO on an guest tracks he was on either. I don't know any memeorable Ja Rule verses or lines other than "what would I be without my babay"

well compared to these dudes that i can't understand wtf they're saying when they ''rap'' i think ja had something to bring to the table, im not saying he was an emcee's MC but he had his place on the commercial side of hip hop

Blah blah blah. Ja Rule made good music.

Livin' it Up sounds like a smug victory lap with about a dozen bad chicks in tow as Moet is poured over their bodies on a yacht... in Miami... after a half a pill of E.

LOW KEY R.U.L.E. was a damn good album. As much as I wanted to stan 50, I couldn't front, R.U.L.E. had bangers, singles, and a few heavy tracks. Lloyd OWNED that album and put it over the top. His hook on "Where I'm From" mixed with Ja whining on the beat used to have a nikka :mjcry: on rainy days breh

:wow:

We really need to be nicer to Ja, guise... :francis:
Passion off that R.U.L.E. album :blessed:/ :mjcry:. Looks like Rule benefits the most from nostalgia and hindsight. 50 fukked all our heads up. But I was a legit Rule fan up until Last Temptation, so I never thought he was wack honestly :manny: just got tired of the nikka after awhile
