Emcees gotta do a better job of taking care of their voices

But besides that, Treach waited way too late to do this solo shyt because he just sounds on this :flabbynsick:

Why did he dumb down his flow? shyt is so basic compared to his old shyt :snoop:

Right?

Bruh, I tried to really give this mixtape a chance but it was actually sad to listen too

I couldn’t to even listen to whole songs, that how :flabbynsick: he sounds now

The first song is mixed horribly too, sounds like they were in a cave when they recorded and mixed it

One of my favorite MC's in the 90's.

But Treach just waited way too long to get that solo out. Naughty took like 4 years off between albums after '95. I always tell people that Treach should've dropped his solo in '96. He was doing a lot of remixes and freestyles and talking solo project. And that's when he was still in his prime.

The production on this tape sounds like he copped all of the beats for like $15 a piece. Very cheap sounding project. Which is weird, when you think about how meticulous Naughty was with the quality of their engineering back in the day. The OG needs a trusted A&R and some production from actual legends. Treach is too dope to dropping sh*t like this.

I'm grateful I saw Naughty by Nature in 93 when I was 11. My Dad took me to the show. World nightclub, Toronto.

Both Vinnie and Treach kill this! Vinnie's voice always complimented Treach's in my mind.

Facts

Bruh, I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard the beats on here and some are reworked beats

I see what you was saying bout his voice too

Emcees really need to take better care of their voices

I applaud Digable Planets for taking care of themselves and keeping their vocals in tact the best they can. They still sound like they did in 95’

Their recent performances on Noochie’s Porch and Cadillac Chronicles is proof of that

Truth.

A lot of the OG's hate paying for beats today, but the production makes all the difference in the world for legends like Treach. He needs the right beats.

And like you said, a lot of MC's don’t really take care of their voices. On this project, I couldn't tell it was him on some of the songs, until he got into his Treach flow, and then I could hear it was him, lol.

Yup

As I sit here and listen to Only Built 4 Cuban; Raekwon is one of them nikkas who stays getting weak production on his last several albums

I saw Old Droog on the late night show a week ago and he was rhyming over a Madlib beat and when I heard it, I said, “that’s the type of beat Rae need to rhyme over”

Same here, at times I couldn’t tell when it was him and I’d have to rewind it back a few lines

Yeah it was like seeing Sho Nuff show glimpses of his glory days when you could hear it lol

Rae is definitely one of those MC's that needs the right production.

But he doesn't have the direction. RZA was literally guiding these dudes to greatness. Ghost might be the only one in Wu who can function without RZA directing them. The rest of them seem lost without RZA being the watchful eye.

Facts

And the proof is in the pudding with all of his albums post Cuban Linx

Pt II had a few cool songs but I might be only one on here that still felt letdown by that album.

Yeah, all of them need RZA outside of Ghost

It’s a shame, Rae still can rhyme with the best of them, his voice still nice but he stays putting out wack albums

I wish he could go on a Nas 2020’s type of run with a great performance and drop a good 6 to 7 albums

nikka need some Alchemist beats or something lol

Ghost, Meth and GZA can function without RZA but their best work remains the projects where RZA had some say or guidance.
