it's nice to see that we have a good mix of abbots and pupils in the booth. you gotta admire that posters that admit that they don't know it all. it's a fukked up feeling but it just means that we have a long (or short) road to being the quintessential, unfukkwitable head.

:to: to all the nikkas that don't wanna learn about the music. worst part is post of the niccas like that will probably only listen to garbage rap their whole lives.

No.

I've honestly never met anyone in purpose with a superior hip-hop knowledge than my own. If I were to eventually run into that person, there's a talent in swerving conversations where you're out of your depth. Gotta pick those battles wisely.

Never lacked hip-hop knowledge, so no.

these. I have RARELY met anyone with as much knowledge on the subject as me.

Only maybe three times have I met someone in real life that knows as much. Not more. As much.

I love reading when somebody drops some old ass obscure knowledge, though. Like Art Barr does from time to time if you read his posts. A whole lot of stuff dude drops may seem like ducktales, but it'll be 100% accurate. Like his stories on the LL/Kool Moe Dee beef and how it really started.

that behind the scenes shyt.

Or, as much as our opinions differ, Big Mel.

There was this cat on this other board, dude only really started listening to a lot of hip hop maybe 5 years ago. Dude's a youngin. But I can guarantee that he dug in them crates and knows more about hip hop than almost any 10 casual listeners put together.

The mixtape game I fell behind on, and would hear younger guys playing stuff by artists I never had heard of at that point, but I've caught up. As far as general hip-hop knowledge goes, I have not met anyone IRL I can recall that was anything more than a casual listener.
