Indiana billboard reading, “Hate Cops? The next time you need help call a crackhead” has drawn notice far beyond downtown Muncie.

A Muncie resident named Megan Thomas posted a Facebook image of the electronic message she said was running for at least a few hours on Saturday.

She called the message “outrageously offensive” and “covertly racist” in a post that had been shared over 1,300 times by Thursday night.
