Hate when rappers who had it EASY try to act like they had it hard.

A college degree doesn't mean you had it easy :comeon:

Exactly. Half of the people who have degrees still end up making chump change with a large amount of debt from student loans. Though I do think Cole had it a little easier then most. Even the guy in the hbo documentary said no disrespect to him but Cole didn't go through what we've been through.

I feel u.
Does cole ever make it seem like he's from the hood though?

He did say that his mom lost her house but he never rapped about being super poor or anything

I love that song "love yourz" --- he cares about the art

Shows once again that money, makes money. If you're an entertainer with money to begin with, you'll have a greater chance at exposure and success than someone with talent but is broke, due to the fact that you will have access to higher social circles...along with having the funding to back your career and get yourself out there from jump. That...and you have industry people who will look out for you if you look out for them $$$:mjpls:

Yes, you also have rappers who blatantly lie about all the drugs they sold and shyt, but at the same time, there's a lot who really were (and some still are:mjpls:) involved in the drug game, and basically funded their careers through drug money. That's how they were able to bump elbows with the big dogs in the game and gain exposure...

Why do you assume he's referring to the slums when he says the bottom?
What else would the bottom be? :what:

It sure isn't growing up in a wealthy Canadian suburb as a child actor :russ:

The bottom is exactly that, the bottom. Poverty...struggle. Drake has never seen these things.
