Compton is a good album, it’s just forgettable when compared to The Chronic & the highs of 2001.

It was definitely overshadowed by the fervor the movie was having at the time. If Dre released Detox (or something) in 2012 & used it as Kendrick’s introduction to the mainstream it would’ve made a much bigger splash.

Also, I don’t think Relapse is generally considered a bad album by most, but is by Eminem himself. He started the trope that his previous album sucked on Recovery and fans take his words as gospel.

Tbf though, MMLP2 is his only tolerable album since Relapse.

8 diagrams with a few extra tracks that were cut is a classic imo. Might be my fav wu album somehow idk it keeps coming back in rotation. I got a double cd mix of it I play a shytload. Underrated era and no artist was dropping heat like this that far into their career. Idgaf
