Actually the Lakers were credited for being the first ones to do it. Had they not got their asses handed to them by Detroit, we wouldn’t be hearing losers like yourself using their age as an excuse today.

Matter of fact I still remember the series like it was yesterday. The Pistons were the underdogs while everyone laughed at the belief that the Pistons even had a chance in the series :russ: :camby:

I still vividly remember Stephan A Smith on ESPN shytting on the Pistons and giving them zero chances against those Lakers.:comeon: I knew dude was a clown at that moment. I watched them Pistons all seasons and through the playoffs and if you watch them like I would expect a sport analyzer would, you would had known they were going to be a Force to be reckon with. Real talk, that was my earliest memory of SAS. Couldn't believe the dumb shyt I was hearing.

Exactly and now after the L people want to bring up Malone and Payton age.

Perhaps the laker fans and Stephen A should have been more humble and let us know that Payton and Malone were old :russ:

LeBron caused the Warriors to come together though, you fukking weirdo :heh:
because he beat then in '16. Are you blaming him for winning?
Michael or Kobe would never beat this iteration of the Warriors (with kd).....infact they would not even beat the 73 win warriors

if lebron manages to beat this warriors team in the next couple of years with any team (cleveland, philly, houston) and be the mvp of the series, then he is the undisputed GOAT

Raps probably got about 3 or 4 dudes off the bench that would be starters for a lot of those teams back when. I’ll give the 98 Jazz like the two best players in a matchup with the Raps (even tho Malone and Stockton were old as shyt and DeRozan’s style would eat in the NBA back when), but Raps would have the best next two, then Hornacek (it might be a reach to put him over Jonas, who’d also eat in the NBA back then), and then raps would have the next best 6 or 7 players. Talent just wasn’t that deep back when for most teams
No way Jazz had the two best players in that matchup, do you even remember 1998?

Stockton was :flabbynsick: by then, didn't even average double-digits in the Finals.

Stockton and Hornacek were 35 and 36 and they weren't even athletic in their prime...they would get destroyed by 2018 Derozen and Lowry. JV is far better than any center the Jazz had and Ibaka is better than any forward on that team not named Malone. Other than Malone the 2018 Raptors wipe the 1998 Jazz at every position.

Malone was the only player on the Jazz to average more than 10.7ppg in the Finals.
Malone was the only player on the Jazz in double-figures who shot better than 41%.
Malone was the only player on the Jazz to average more than 5.0rpg in the Finals.
Malone was the only player on the Jazz to average more than 0.3bpg in the Finals.

Look at that crap for a second. NO ONE ELSE on the team could manage 11 points, 5 boards, or even half a block a game. :scust:

And yet the Bulls were still a buzzer-beater from being taken to 7 cause Jordan/Pippen/Rodman were so :flabbynsick: themselves.

The expansion era of the NBA was something else.

Kobe fanboys never bring up that Payton and Malone were both 20ppg scorers the year before they joined the Lakers.

Just like Kobe fanboys never bring up that Gasol and Howard both won All-NBA nods playing for other teams after they left that 2013 fire in a trash bin team.

Hell, earlier this season I caught a Kobestan saying Kupchak should have been fired for trading for Nash in 2012...I brought up 20+ receipts of that exact same Kobestan fool back in 2012-13 calling Nash a top PG who the Lakers had to get.

Their revisionist history is :snoop:

Wait. This makes no sense

GOAT.. equal to Michael Jordan... Kobe ain't on his level

We can all agree nobody is on his level from an all-round perspective (passing, scoring, rebounding)

But when we talk GOAT we are talking about accolades and rings and body of work

Michael Jordan: 6 Finals, 6 rings, 6 Finals MVP
Kobe 'Bean' Bryant: 7 Finals, 5 rings, 2 Finals MVP
LeBron 'King' James: 7 Finals, 3 rings, 3 Finals MVP

Number wise, everything says that MJ is the GOAT, Kobe is the Emperor, LeBron is the King

:yeshrug:

Duncan: 6 Finals 5 championships, 3 Finals MVPs (should be 4)

Duncan >>>>> Kobe confirmed:blessed:

Most def those Kobe fools thought they were 3 peating again with Nash and Howard but I’m sure they have an excuse for that also lmao

@HunterPawgHunter is going to sweep this post under the rug

Did Bogut going out not allow Cleveland to attack the basket more easily? Is attacking the basket not Lebron's primary weapon.

Don't try to act like I'm talking crazy, because I can even pull up the articles, from the day AFTER Bogut were injured, that said Cleveland should have an easier time attacking the rim because of Bogut's injury - and they DID.

Also, Kyrie averaged 27ppg for the series, shooting over 40 percent from THREE. That nikka didn't get carried, he did some of the carrying. To say nothing of his big shot.

As for Kevin Love, he never levels up in the Finals, so what did he really miss?
