The only dudes that hated on me being from the burbs were the miserable, knuckleheads that inevitably burned down every bridge they had. The sooner or later they'll stab you in the back types. Most people knew it was just a matter of circumstance and didn't care. If I'm being honest there was more of that "real nikka measuring" nonsense within the hierarchy of suburban brehs.

I know...we were apart of that first migration. There was some animosity there, but nothing to big. I'm talking about in terms of younger dudes trying to hold onto that hood perception, even though their parents did everything they could to take them away from it.

I was going to say...i'm from the inner city of KC and most of the time when i met somebody overly "hood" it was a some suburban nikka over compensating like they needed validation from hood people or something.

Yep. It got so bad that our principal called an assembly to tell us to stay out of the city after a couple of my yearmates got tossed through the front window of a restaurant. These dudes would go down and try to press locals and get their shyt pushed in. Like breh...You can try to pretend all you want, but you not from that environment, and that's ok.

Breh we moved out in the 2nd grade, and it was dudes who lived out there before I did...Even some born there that kept this act up well into HS. Ironically enough a lot of the dudes that moved out later, were more rational. They didn't get into shyt because they carried themselves in ways not to be messed with.

And here’s more food for thought. My parents moved out even further when my brother hit high school. With a more affluent group of black people and their kids acted even worse. Almost like they were putting on a show for the white folks.
